This exhibition, organised by the Museo Reina Sofía and comprising over fifty pieces, is the largest retrospective to date covering the work of this artist – from her beginning work until the present. These three decades have been marked by Cristina’s incessant restlessness in the study of a wide variety of material (alabaster, tapestry, glass, resin, aluminium, bronze, iron, cement, wood, concrete, etc.). Even water appears as another sculptural element – the protagonist in some of her public projects. The exhibition offer is rounded out with a panoramic view of her copper and cloth silkscreens.

All of her work has been brought together in a catalogue entitled “Metonimia” (Metonymy), published by the museum and printed by Artes Gráficas Palermo.
